New Rotating Student in the Gronert Lab!

Welcome Poorna, new rotation student in the Gronert Lab! She graduated from UC San Diego in 2022 and recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and a minor in Business. During her time at UC San Diego, she worked with patients at the Shiley Eye Institute and joined the Borooah Lab. Between 2021-2024, she also conducted clinical retina research investigating new biomarkers in the retina in order to improve the clinical identification of diseases like age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.
