New Paper in IOVS

Matangi Kumar et al. published in IOVS, identifying mechanisms driving Müller glia reactivity in ocular hypertension and show that Lipoxin B4 suppresses TRPV4–STAT–IL6 signaling to mitigate gliosis in vitro and in vivo. We also uncovered a previously unrecognized homeostatic function of Müller glia: their ability to synthesize a functional lipoxin pathway highlighting an intrinsic neuroprotective mechanism in the retina.
