Matangi wins second place in Berkeley Grad Slam

Matangi made it as a semi-finalist in the campus-wide Grand Slam competition. She has also won second place in this year's Grand Slam! Matangi is a third-year PhD candidate conducting research in the Gronert and Flanagan labs, focusing on the study of neuroinflammation in glaucoma. For Grand Slam, she presented her research titled "The Eye Under Pressure: Novel Therapeutics to Treat Glaucoma." 

Grad Slam is a UC-sponsored competition designed to showcase graduate student research for a general audience in three-minute talks.
